Outdoor drinks below Houston?

Preferably WELL below Houston, near my office on Chambers Street, and with good subway access. Geographically, if not quite culturally, Tribeca would be ideal. Little Italy, LES, Nolita, even Soho would be okay, too. Looking for a roomy-yet-intimate place to go with friends and colleagues for outdoor birthday drinks -- a place that isn't too much of a scene (ie minimal hipsters, yuppies or noise). Would like a back garden or patio where there's a bar, and some people can sit while others stand, with no mandatory table service.

Hey, it's summertime, and the living oughta be easy, right?

Got any inspired ideas?!?

To get you started, here are a few I culled from the Vanity Fair Summer NYC Guide. Anyone know whether any of these would meet my criteria?

-Raoul's
-Luna Park
-Vento
-The Yard
-Elizabeth

Thanks!

Fred
