Returning to New Orleans in October after a two-year hiatus (the wife's insistence, not mine). Part of this trip is to check out some of the classics -- Galatoire's and Brennan's are on the list. Following is my culinary Itinerary, HOWEVER, having some second thoughts about Commander's on Saturday night so looking for recommendations for a great kickoff meal (have been to Commander's numerous times). Have already been to Clancy's -- looking for something at that level, but different.

Saturday dinner: Commander's
Sunday lunch: Galatoire's
Sunday dinner: Coquette
Monday dinner: La Petite Grocery
Tuesday dinner: Britgsen's
Wednesday breakfast: Brennan's

Our Monday and Tuesday lunches are tours with lunches, one a culinary bike tour and a swamp tour. Open to all suggestions and discussions!!!

Galatoires
Brennan's
Commander's Palace
Clancy's Restaurant
Coquette
La petite grocery
Brigtsen's Restaurant
