I went to college (tulane)in NO and it's been eight years since I've visited. I was really disappointed with the food at Bayonna. My friends had the duck sandwich which was ok and I had the sweetbreads which tasted like nothing. The shrimp bisque was amazing, but not worth eating there just for that.
On my last day I went to mothers and had a ham and roast beef sandwich with debris (this is the roast beef drippings). It was so amazing and cheap as well. Don't miss it. One of my friends went to August for lunch and said it was incredible as well as cuvee.
I stayed at the Windsor court which was really lovely and my room was imaculate and big. The service was great as well.
I also went back to Camellia Grill and I still think they have the tastiest burgers and the best pecan pie a la mode. They will warm it up on the grill if you ask.
