O'Portos, Hartford

Four of us had dinner last night at O'Portos on Park St. in Hartford just near the West Hartford line. It's the old Casa Lisboa, in a new location a half mile from the old, and with a new name.

We all thought the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Only thing slightly under par was my husband's salad, rather plain. I, however, had the salad with greens, figs, dried apricots, and raisins...wonderful. As was my appetizer of shrimp in garlic butter sauce, which had a nice tang to it. The salad and appetizer were my dinner, and I did not leave hungry. Everyone else had entrees.

I'm sorry that I can't remember the names of the dishes the others had, but I wanted to pass on my positive impression. My husband's was something with pork, clams, and potatoes in a slightly spicy red sauce.

We'll all be back. Oh, and I suspect reservations would always be a good idea on weekends.
