Back in the US after a wonderful trip to Italy. While in Florence my wife and I dined at a restaurant called Semidivino. The waitress brought us a complimentary bowl of olives while we waited for our meal. They were large, green, and delicious--and I can't seem to find them here in the US. I don't believe they were cingolis because they tasted nothing like the cingolis I've had in the US.
Any guesses as to what type of olives they might have been? In case you're wondering, I did ask the waitress what type of olives they were ,but her English and my Italian were equally awful. If she answered my question, her answer was unfortunately lost in translation.
