Ocean City, MD – inlet to about 50th options…

We are headed to Ocean City in September for our annual “the kids are back in school/we have the whole town to ourselves and the water is still warm” vacation.

We have decided to just park the car for the time that we are there, and hoof it or take the drunk bus if we want to go further than our footsies will allow.

We are going to do buffet one night, probably Phillip’s …always need an over-the-top kind of belt buster. We also plan to have great steak & cheese’s for a midnight snack from this divvy joint right next to the motel. AND my very favorite…The Fractured Prune donuts for breakfast. Nothing like fresh donuts and coffee while sitting on the beach in the morning…..

But that leaves us with one real breakfast out, bf wants gravy, but OC is considered southern so, I believe most places will have it, just do not know where…personally I prefer to do buffet if possible because than I do not have to decide on one or two items.

We will have 3 dinners to find. Two years ago we went to this Italian place Mario’s/Vincent’s???? it was okay, but just didn’t fit our sunburned faces. We also did Philip’s on 13th overlooking the water…that was nice, but I bet there is better food for your buck out there with that kind of scenery (overlooking water) somewhere near the inlet area.

I have searched on the boards, but not quite seeing the info that I am looking for…
So, I am looking for recommendations that are not too pricy no more than 20-25 per entrée, and one night specifically scenic, and the other two—who cares where in the vicinity of inlet/downtown OC to about 50th street. Good seafood is always welcome, cheaper is even better….

I thought maybe for the scenic option, The Hobbit, if someone would tell me if it is worth it.

Oh, and a GOOD (as relative as that word is) buffet for a Sunday morning breakfast before we head back to reality.

Sorry to be so long winded..
Thanks in advance…
