Just returned from a too-short stay in NYC, and thanks to suggestions from this site, had some wonderful meals -- dinners at db Bistro Moderne (amazing tomato tarte tatin), Babbo (the lamb's tongue vinaigrette and garganelli with funghi trifolati were outstanding), and Blue Hill (loved the braised duck). Also, finally had a pastrami sandwich at Katz's -- I never imagined pastrami could be so tender and delicious. Had some oysters at GC Oyster Bar, got a snack in Chinatown, and stocked up on chocolates at the Jacques Torres place in the Village. Finally, picked up a smoked sturgeon with cream cheese bagel sandwich at Russ & Daughters on the way to the airport so I didn't have to end a great visit with airline food. Thanks, y'all.
