First Ever NYC Chowhound Fundraising Dinner! RSVP Now!

Abbylovi | Jan 25, 200212:40 PM     14

I am pleased to announce the first ever New York Chowhound Fundraiser event!

This event, co-organized by Eric Eto, Dennison and I will take place at the Funky Broome on Saturday, February 2nd at 7pm. For those of you new to the site, Funky Broome is one of the New York Chowhound perennial favorites. Do a search and you will uncover loads of complimentary posts on this Cantonese (or Canto-pop, as Dennison's mother calls it) restaurant. You will also find that like many restaurants, it is important to order well at Funky Broom for maximum deliciousness. To that end, we have enlisted several chowhound/experts for the important task of menu selection. The menu is rife with “finds” that our savvy chowhounds Dennison, Eric Eto, and one other TBA Chowhound will uncover for your enjoyment at this dinner.

We have reserved two tables, with seating for about 20-24 people. The cost of the actual dinner is estimated at about $25-30. In addition to that, we request a minumum contribution of $30 to Chowhound.

I don’t want to create an East Coast vs West Coast “competition,” but I would like to point out that San Francisco just raised $621 at their last dinner. I think New Yorkers are good for AT LEAST $700.

All Chowhounds are invited but because seating is limited, please RSVP to me at abbylovi@hotmail.com by end of day Wednesday, January 30th.

Please note: this is a private, volunteer assisted event. No agency relationship express or implied exixts between any parties and Chowhound, Inc. This is not a Chowhound, Inc. sponsored event.
