Novelty - great deal

We ate at Novelty on Sunday. They are located on third just below Market. They have a special three course meal Sun - Thurs. For $25 you can choose any appetizer, entree and dessert from the regular menu. Considering that their entrees run $18- $23, it is quite a deal.

Everything was excellent. For starters we had the veal dumplings and salad with roasted mushrooms. For entrees we had the steak with roquefort and the "peking duck a l'orange".

The desserts sounded great, we settled on the warm molten chocolate cake and house made sorbet assortment. The portions were very large. I could only eat half of my duck. The service was delightful and the dining room was relatively quiet. We will definitely return.
