Nossa Familia Coffee @ Portland Farmers Market at PSU

Last stop at the Saturday morning Portland Farmers Market https://www.chowhound.com/post/sister... was the Nossa Familia Coffee stand. I had mentioned to my chowpal that the conventional wisdom for Nossa Familia was that the dark roasts are best. https://www.chowhound.com/post/ne-por... She disagreed, saying that the medium and light roasts can be very good, and also added that we would not have time to go to Coava. Ok, then I'll see what's on offer here.

I ordered the Kenyan Oreti Estate light roast pourover. If i'd been seated at a cafe, I would have let it cool down more before drinking it. Still the brewer did make a effort to serve it at reduced temperature, which I appreciated. This felt a bit darker than light roast to me, moving into medium territory. Yet, the acidity gave it elegant bearing to show off the bright floral and fruity tones. I drank it black and was as satisfied as possible with a to-go cup.
