noticed this dumpling house squirreled away on 49th st near 8th ave in brooklyn's northwestern c-town. it is pretty much in the same vein as fried dumpling, dumpling house, and northern pasta. luckily, too, it is also in the same league. i had really good pork with leek boiled dumplings, which were cooked only after i ordered them. the sole table for 2 and the counter for 3 had bottles of soy and sriracha sauce on them. i saw a great-grandmother add a few shots of the sriracha to her pan fried dumplings, so i did the same for the boiled ones.
also, i ordered a wonton soup after i saw another customer purchase one. the person behind the counter added small scoops of broth to the container carefully, like he was handling precious cargo. the broth was not overly strong and had tasty baby shrimps floating under bits of seaweed, seemingly recreating the environment of the shrimps before they officially entered the food chain. the wontons were in a frozen state before cooking commenced, but a kitchen employee walked into the customer area with her apron and hands dusted with flour.
