North Hollywood Thai NOT on Sherman Way

Das Ubergeek | Dec 1, 200503:50 PM

Here's a challenge. There are probably 50 Thai restaurants in North Hollywood (including Valley Glen, Valley Village, Toluca Lake and Studio City -- anywhere with a 916* ZIP code).

Other than the Wat Thai and the little gulch of Thai places on Sherman Way, which is the best?

I ask because I had some truly great pad prik khing at P & V Café, which you would never ever find unless you were looking for it. (It's on Hamlin near the corner of Bellingham, behind the Sears and only open until 6, for those who are interested.)

I've heard great things about Sri Siam on Vanowen and Coldwater, and I've been curious about Vic's Thai-Chinese and American Food on Victory between Whitsett and Coldwater. We like Original Thai (on Five Points Corner in West Toluca Lake, they get big points for having brown rice) too. Talésai and Thai BBQ I can miss out with no remorse.

So, what's the scoop?
