North of Charlotte (Kannapolis, Concord, Mooresville, etc)

Nab | Nov 16, 200809:38 AM     1

I'm zipping into town for a night in Concord, with only enough time for a Monday night dinner.

I poked around the board, yet nothing seems to be jumping out at me (Emma's, Union St Bistro, Max's Ally, etc). I wish Keaton's was a little closer. Same with Lexington. Not that I'm set on 'cue, because the thought of chowing down on some Vietnamese in Charlotte seems like a grand idea, but if I'm leaving the city to go to Concord, I'd rather not come back down into the city. Are there any good spots in the greater Charlotte area that are in easy striking distance of Concord (ie, outer Charlotte burbs) ?

I'm also told Lancaster's in Mooresville is not a bad option.

I love being in these situations where the propsects look bleak, and I'm happy to drive around following my nose, but would also appreciate any local insights y'all may have.

Thoinks !
