The Nook for dinner

troy | Mar 3, 2005 02:32 PM

Four of us went for dinner the other night. For me it’s very similar to the kind of food I make at home. But it was solid and all very tasty. I had the burger med-rare and should have ordered it medium. I'm going to get the pot roast next time. The fries were average...if that and not all that great. We also ordered one of the fish dishes which I didn’t taste but was told it was very good. The Flank steak and Pot roast were ordered and both looked great. For dessert we had the chocolate brownie and apple cobbler. The brownie was good but the cobbler came to the able too hot and the topping needed to be browned a bit more. As far as wine was concerned, the by the glass selection was nice but I might prefer to BYOB. $10 corkage. We had the syrah and pinot which complemented the food very well.
All'n'all the portions are big and represent a great value. In the future I would go here when good basic food is required such as when family is in town. I will definitely go back.
