NJ Turnpike – Exit 7 Bordentown – Not Mastoris

Some friends plan to visit the Trenton area for a week and will be staying in a motel in Bordentown. They asked me for suggestions on where to eat within about 15 minutes of their motel. In that area many people recommend Mastoris. It is a very large diner with OK food and a very good bakery but I thought we on this site could come up with some other suggestions. Here are mine:

BYOBs:
Tsukasa – Japanese: good sushi, sashimi and tempura, 1 & 1/2 Crosswicks St
Under the Moon – excellent Argentinean “home cooked” food, 316 Farnsworth Ave
Palermo’s - excellent pizza and good past dishes, 674 US Highway 206
Shrimp King – for fresh, simply prepared fish go north about 6 miles on US-130

Sports Bar – Chickie’s and Pete’s: a Philadelphia institution. Good pizza, crabs, and mussels. http://www.chickiesandpetes.com/page/...

Farnsworth House – bar and restaurant serving good “continental” food. 135 Farnsworth Ave, http://www.thefarnsworthhouse.com/ind...

Breakfast – the Town and Country Diner in Bordentown on 130 and 206 has good breakfasts and very reasonable weekday breakfast specials. Not recommended for dinner but soups and sandwiches are OK.
