NJ/NY'er coming into town for one day - what would you bring home

yumfactr | Feb 15, 201509:22 AM

Where we now live there is no food of interest. You can buy staples, fruits, veggies. You cannot buy meat (drive a ways to get to whole foods) and you cannot buy anything ethnic or frankly, tasty. I greatly miss real pizza, bagels, etc. Don't get into Manhattan much and am looking for any ideas for an upcoming visit there.
Will be in the 30's near Madison ave. for one day in a month and would love to bring some delicious things back home. Travel is not an issue but time is as I will be rushing through the day for work. Any tips for delicious bagels, pizza, Italian pastry, or anything else that's New Yorkish in that immediate area?

Wow I am from NY and I can't believe I'm asking a "tourist" question ;)
