Been a while since we visited...our error. Meal of appetizers all ranging from good to excellent. Oysters with walnuts, spinach and buerre blanc have always been a favorite, but the tuna tartare with avocado, ginger and salad was a meal in itself. The gnocchi with mushrooms were almost unbelievably rich, which was no problem for me, but an effort for the spouse. My good fortune as there was one more bite for yours truly. A Talegio tart with crispy onions was wasted, as the other dishes were superior. The grilled romaine with anchovies and Caesar dressing was a fine finish. Oh, except for the molten chocolate cake dessert. Yes, a cliché, but with a little ice cream and crème anglaise, a perfect end to a drizzly eve. The martinis with cucumber lime and south american booze didn't hurt. John has been there a while as a server, and is expert and discrete. Lots of options out there, but this is one worth considering. Out.
