nice lunch at Luna Park

Patty | Sep 26, 200307:07 PM

We checked out Luna Park for lunch today -- great to have a new spot near the office. I had the whitefish sandwich which is cooked in a curry sauce and served with a spicy, ginger-y coleslaw on the bun. Very nice clear flavors, a little mayo might have tied them all together even better. Choice of green salad or fries with sandwiches which are in the $8-9 range. Every day there's a lunch special -- today was roasted seabass with potatoes and spinach, very nice for $10.50. The other lunch entrees such as salmon or brisket and the appetizers are priced the same as on the dinner menu. The tuna poke and moules et frites appetizers are also available for lunch at about $7.50, these might make a nice light lunch. The food was a little slow to arrive but everything else seemed well-handled for the first week in business. I'm looking forward to trying the rigatoni touted on this board, the cobb salad, the Monte Cristo sandwich, etc. I'm sure this place will be a big hit as the dinner entrees are all between $12.50 and $14.75 including sides.
Luna Park is at La Brea and Wilshire.
