Several months ago there was a post extolling this Ma and Pa Vietnamese place on Belmont. We went in Saturday night. Ths place is totally unpretentious, with Pa working the front and Ma cooking. The meal was very good, though I'm totally inexperienced in Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes could have used more heat, but there was plenty of hot sauce on the table. All ingredients were very fresh. Particularly memorable was a Vietnamese (?) rendition of Sade's "Smooth Operator" playing in the background. Two appetizers and two entrees plus corkage came out to a whopping $21.00. The only dissapointment was the fact that we were the only patrons in the place, at 7:30 pm on Saturday night. I can't wait to go back, and I hope some of you will give it a try. It would be a shame to see this place close due to lack of interest. They are just a half block fom the Blue Line Belmont stop, 3711 W Belmont.
