Though moderation is the key to many things, for a number of very good reasons I've made a decision to stick to nonalcoholic beverages for the duration.
This has been/will be a challenge, because for much of my life I've been what might be described as an enthusiastic wine and beer *sampler*.
Does anybody have any advice, ideas, taunts, or condolences regarding how to face wonderful cooking at top restaurants without pairing it with an appropriate wine? Nothing comes to mind (other than water) if I'm not having beer or wine. Anybody out there gone through this? Any stories?
This is all new to me, but I know this will be worth it in the end. It's been over 10 days without so much as a drop, and I must say that I feel better already . . .
Cheers! (er, um -- thank you.)
