Tony's Diner (Restaurant)---Wyoming Avenue (Route 11) in Kingston.
This is a family business in at least its second generation. Jimmy (aka Tony) is the grillmaster, he's loud and brash---and that's part of his charm. While I generally don't agree with his politics--- signs everywhere---I bow to his short order skills.
Tony's is open 6am-2pm and you can get breakfast anytime. Try the omelettes, there's a dozen or so.
These aren't typical, they're loaded with grated cheese, home fries, Italian Peppers and meats like pepperoni, and porketta.
The Italian Hoagie is exceptional. The best in NEPA (and I've been trying them all for 25 years!). The sandwiches are also grilled and often cut into six bite-size pieces. The Magic of the grill (and oils, peppers, etc) means that you notice different flavors exploding in your mouth with each bite. Again, there are dozens to choose from.
Not the healthiest food for lunch, but damn the consequences...I try to go at least once a week.
Tony's is a real NEPA gem!!!
