Navigating the Cook's Illustrated Website

Does anybody have any tips on navigating the Cook's Illustrated website? I'm an online subscriber and I'm finding it exceedingly difficult to find articles because the search engine is so absolutely pathetic. For instance, in an earlier Chowhound thread, I learned there was an article on rugelach, so I typed in rugelach - no results. I then tried typing rugalach and then cream cheese cookies into the search, and still nothing! I finally looked back at the earlier Chowhound thread and found that the article was in the September 1997 issue - the article is called, "Homemade Rugelach". If you don't know the EXACT title, you can't find the article, which is stupid. The Index is of no help either - under "A" you'll find articles about "Instant Read Thermometers" and "When Only Fresh Coconut Will Do". Am I missing something here? Can anybody please help? I'm so frustrated with this site that I'm thinking of cancelling my online subscription. Thanks in advance for any help.
