Finding navajo bread with beef stew is not so tough, but how would I go about getting the more authentic stuff, e.g. mutton, kifa, corn pudding/porridge, etc.?
I was near Kayenta last weekend but stuck with motel food (more of the aforementioned fry bread and stew) as I did not have any foresight or recs. I noticed that the newish restaurant in Bluff had some beverage on the menu (Navajo tea) and I ate the usual fry bread/stew combo across the street at the big joint that the hippy/naturalists in Bluff all seem to dislike, but that was just OK. Where's the real food? At people's homes only?
