First I asked for help concerning airfare on the NOT ABOUT FOOD board, and received some great advice. Now I need more help...please :-)
My boyfriend is taking me to Capri the first part of September for my 40th birthday gift. We will land in Naples, and may spend a day or so there because we have some contacts in the wine industry who reside there. The majority of the next 2 weeks are still in the planning stages. I do know that we'd like to spend quite a bit of time on Capri, lazing in the sun. (We had originally planned to go in August, on my actual birthday, but fellow chowhounders warned against that because of crowds and heat -- advice taken!).
Please...any tips about hotels, B & Bs, restaurants, where to find the best lemoncello, etc. We are both quite adventurous, and are open to checking out funky budget-type accomodations, and hole-in-the-wall eateries (we are CHs, after all). This will be my boyfriend's 7th trip to Italy, but he's never been to this specific part of Italy, so although he's familar with the culture and customs, we know little to nothing about this area...only what we've read.
Thanks in advance for any and all help -- large or small! :-)
