Napa Rose-a bit long

Thanks to "wow i'm a dog" for the threads to the Anaheim area restaurants. We had the chef's tasting menu at Napa Rose last Thursday which ranks as one of the more outstanding meals I've had in the last year. Sauteed Copper River salmon topped with caviar as the starter, Panzanella Heirloom Tomato Faccacia Bread Salad, Blackberry BBQ Duck breast with Foie Gras Corn Bread and Peach Crustada with Blueberry Gelato to finish. We took the Vinter's Table, so each course was matched with a wine. The J.Swan Zin was a little heavy for the duck in my opinion, but the Benessere Pinot Grigio with the salad was perfect as was the Andrew Murray Viognier with the salmon. The service was excellent, it was early in the evening so we avoided the rush. The restaurant seemed to have a lot of families with small kids but that's to be expected from a Disney hotel. A lovely room and I highly recommend this place for a great dinner out.
