Had dinner at Napa Rose last week. A friend was celebrating his daughter's birthday and wife's MBA and invited a bunch of people there. Second time I've been there and I love it. Service was excellent, especially since our waitor was dealing with 19 people.
A portobello mushroom "espresso" soup for a starter was terrific, very intense mushroom flavor. I had a ribeye for my entree, (more than half of us did). Asked for medium-rare and it was perfect.
Sides of stuffed-potatos and string-beans with garlic were great too.
Sampled a few wines and really liked one cab from a small vinyard that is over 100 years old but I cannot for the life of me remember the name.
No dessert, but I rarely eat dessert. All-in-all a great meal.
And the best part was my friend picked up the tab for all of us!
