Napa (Oxbow Market) – Recommendations for The Olive Press?

Does anyone have a favorite olive oil or vinegar from The Olive Press?

I liked the olive oils. They are generous with samples of more than a dozen olive oils. But even after tasting about a half a dozen I can’t make up my mind.

What I do like is they sell their olive oils bulk as well as bottled. You can bring your own bottle or buy an empty bottle there. The oil, IIRC, is about $1 an ounce. I like the bulk idea since I have a shelf of empty fancy olive oil and vinegar bottles that just were too nice to recycle.

The olive tapanade was good too.

This is a shop that fits its space nicely. The Oxbow Public Market website sums it up best “the best of their award-winning California extra virgin olive oils, assorted jars of tapenades, cured olives, olive oil crackers and other tasty delicacies. The Olive Press also offers unique balsamic vinegars, and a wide variety of olive themed ceramics, baskets, books, table linens and olive oil storage containers, many commissioned by and available exclusively through The Olive Press.’

Link to The Olive Press website is in the Place record.
