After a wild and wooly day on Lake Mich we had a late dinner at Mykonos in Niles. Grilled Calamari-well cooked and not over done at all. Wanted some Skordalia and the waiter recommended some zucchini with the skordalia. The zucchini was sliced fairly thin and in a very light batter which barely coated the surface, it was not greasy but crisp, crunchy and tasty especially with the skordalia and a nice greek red. I never thought we'd polish the generous plate off but the three of us managed to finish it all. The skordalia is so good...garlicky but not too much. I happen to love garlic so it was perfect. Our waiter was terrific too.
They have a lovely garden despite the fact that they are on a busy road. You can fool yourself into thinking that you're in a Mediterranean clime for an hour or two.
Mykonos is located on Golf just west of Grenwood in Niles.
