Hello!
I have some mushy over cooked rice that was this expensive black rice, that I don’t wanna throw out. I was googling some possible recipes for mushy over cooked rice, a lot of them seem to be soups. Or fried fritters which I don’t really feel like. But I was wondering, do you think I could make a type of dumpling with mushy over cooked rice?
I was thinking the kind of thing that you would use is a feeling when you’re making stuffed zucchini or stuffed cabbage, like spiced And savory minced meat mixed with the rice sautéed, and then made into balls or stuffed into something? I am familiar with making the stuffed veggies with the rice/meat mix, dumplings less so. I guess dumplings don’t have the rice and meat mixed, they are more where the mushy rice surrounds the savory filling that could be meat and veggies?
But both seem like situations where the mushy texture of the rice will be fine.
I don’t actually know how to make dumplings, but I feel like they’re probably kind of similar To the stuffed things where you could improvise?
Any thoughts from you all about what you might do with mushy rice, if you feel like a soup or anything fried? And if you think a dumpling or a stuffed vegetable concoction might be a good use..
Thank you oh foodie :-)
