Mushroom Lovers. Canadian Chanterelles nine dollars a pound. How to preserve?

SamVee | Oct 27, 201106:25 PM

OK here's the deal. CostCo Alhambra has Chanterelles from Canada for only 8.99 a pound. If you have been wanting to try chanterelles this is a great chance. They have a light Earthy flavor and are wonderful sauteed. These mushrooms sell at Bristol Farms for $70 a pound. I'd like lots of people to know about this deal and buy the mushrooms so CostCo continues to stock them. I think this is a seasonal item with a short season.

If anyone has experience saving these...freezing or drying...please share
