A recent addition to Astoria (Broadway and 32nd)! My wife and I live nearby and just stopped in for the first time. Mundo offers a mix of Turkish, Argentine, and Brazilian dishes (with a lot of good vegetarian options). I stopped in for takeout, but must go back and have a proper meal there soon. The owners have done a great job with the place and are very warm and friendly. The food has a wonderful home-cooked quality to it. We had both empanadas (beef/raisin/olive and feta/spinach), grilled eggplant and roasted red pepper dip, manti (Turkish dumplings) with homemade yogurt, and black-eyed pea salad with scallions, peppers, carrot and herbs.

All were great. I over-ordered for the two of us and spent $30.
