Thanks for all the recommendations we have received. We were in the twin cities last weekend looking for homes.I guess we chose the perfect weekend to find out what our future lives as "The Frozen people" will be like.[I was told a radio show host from the twin cities came up with that name?]
First night we had dinner at Sawatdee [ our host's choice] in downtown MSP.My vegetable tofu green curry was ok at the best.Husband liked his catfish special.Vegetarian springrolls [ summer roll style, not fried] were delicious. We enjoyed a great Chilean white wine.cannot remember the name/vintage.
Lunch the next day was on the run- in between seeing homes. We ate the salad bar at Kowalski's market in Eden Prairie.Very fresh produce, nice light lunch.Dinner that night was at our cousin's home.
The next day after a heavy breakfast at our hotel, we ate a late lunch/ early dinner at Salsa a la Salsa on Nicollet mall.Excellent recommendation chowhounds.Fresh home made salsa- tomato and a green one.I had the two enchiladas- one with mole sauce, one with a spicy red.Hubby ate one of their chicken specials in a mole sauce accompanied by black bean tamales.Staff was attentive, they put us close to the fireplace on a blisteringly cold evening.
We return in 2 weeks to look at more homes and further explore the culinary delights!
