Morrisville Deli, Morrisville (duh), NC

This little deli is tucked into a small space in the shopping center at the corner of Morrisville-Carpenter Road and Davis Drive - I believe it's called Morrisville Market? It's the center with the Ace Hardware and Smithfield's BBQ. The deli itself is in the corner near Georgina's Pizza and Andy's. We ventured there for lunch on Friday, and were pleasantly surprised - Boar's Head meats, great side salad options, and a fairly large menu of sandwiches, panini, wraps, and heros. I'm not the deli authority in my family, but my grilled chicken sandwich was pretty tasty. My NY-born-and-bred husband said that the pastrami on rye was really good, although they did go a little heavy on the mustard. They also do breakfast and had some interesting-looking options there as well. While I don't think many of our Northern imports here in the Triangle would call it an "authentic" NY deli, we enjoyed it.

The place was spotlessly clean, and the people were super friendly. I think we'll be back for another visit in the not-too-distant future.
