Moroccan spices--what to do with them?

A friend of mine recently returned from a trip to morocco and he brought me a few different bags of spices: 35 spice powder, ground cinnamon, anise seed, and something with a golden yellow color that I'm guessing is turmeric. I was thinking I'd like to try some sort of dish using lamb or perhaps stewing another kind of meat. Any ideas/recipes would be appreciated.
