There is a group of us meeting from Boston, Providence and Toronto in Montreal for the second weekend of the Jazz Festival. The group will be 10 people and we are all staying near the Bell Centre in Downtown Montreal.
As you may know with a group this size there is a wide range or tastes and budgets. So I wanted a couple recommendations of places to eat around the city that have well rounded, but interesting menus, are on the active and trendy side (everyone in the group is in the mid to late 20's age group) and moderately priced (Under $20-25 per entree) Since we are coming from Providence and Boston I would say we can skip Italian and Seafood. Also a recommendation for the best Poutine, Bagels and Smoked Meats would be great (I will also do a board search for that as well)
Finally any tips on cool bars with excellent cocktail craft would be appreciated.
I know that is quite broad, but with a large group that is about as specific as I can get. I appreciate you help.
