I finally found a market that stocks chestnut products. I would love to surprise my husband with montebianco for our dinner on Valentine's Day (we don't usually dine out on this Hallmark Holiday) as it was a favorite dessert of his youth.
I know it's pureed chestnuts, somehow sweetened and I think extruded, covered with whipped cream. But what goes into the puree? And how sweet should the whipped cream be? Thanks in advance.
