What's the difference between Mondongo and Menudo?
I realize that one is Puerto Rican (mondongo) and the other is more properly Mexican (menudo), right?
And also that mondongo is supposed to be a "stew" whereas menudo is a "soup"? But that to me is more semantic than really meaningufly in a foodie sense.
Is the difference merely cultural? Sort of like chinese dumplings versus mandu (korean dumplings)? Or does it go deeper?
Thanks much for any insights.
