Mocha oatmeal cake for greygarious and any other interested party

I promised to post this a while back and can't find the thread on oatmeal cakes and muffins, so here goes. It's a family recipe (my husband's great-aunt by marriage) and dates from the 1970's. Makes a very nice and somewhat unusual cake.

350 deg f for 50-55 min, Bundt or tube pan
2 tb instant coffee powder
1 1/3 c boiling water
1 c uncooked oatmeal (quick or old-fashioned)
3/4 c butter, softened
1 c granulated sugar
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 c sifted flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
3 tb cocoa
Combine coffee powder and boiling water, pour over oatmeal, stir to combine, and allow to stand for 20 mins.
Cream butter, add sugar gradually, beat until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, blend in vanilla.
Add cooled oatmeal mixture, mix well.
Sift flour, soda, salt and cocoa together.
Add to first mixture, stir to combine well.
Pour into greased and floured pan and bake at 350 deg f for 50-55 min.
Cool on rack and frost with the below:
1 1/2 tb soft butter, 1 c sifted confectioner's sugar, dash of salt, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 tb coffee - beat butter until creamy, add sugar, salt, vanilla and coffee - beat until smooth and drizzle over cake.
