My wife and I wish we had more time to cook for ourselves but that is becoming increasingly rare. So we do takeout 3-4 times a week and it’s very exciting when we experience good take out - especially in SE Calgary. Today, my wife and I visited Cravings Market Restaurant. Cravings is setup like Marche in Toronto, you go around to their various stations and grab your food for take-out or eat in. It’s nice bright and friendly so I wouldn’t hesitate to eat in next time.
I ordered the Lobster Ravioli with Shrimp and a large side Ceasar, it was very good. My wife ordered herb crusted tuna, with a side of grilled veggies and rice pilaf, the tuna was cooked perfectly rare. We ate about 20 mins later when we got home and although it wasn’t piping hot, it was very good. Everything was made fresh in front of us and all the ingredients looked fresh and appetizing. There is a really nice variety on the menu with items such as ribeye, mussels, roasted chickens, etc. It’s so nice to get away from Pizza and Asian take-out all the time.
Apparently, Cravings has been here for almost 3 years but I’d only heard about it over the weekend from a friend. They’re located at 7207 Fairmont dr and if you’re like us it’s a great quick dinner option. You can also call in your orders ahead of time for pickup.
