New Mixed Ethnic Market in SFV

Thought some folks might like to know about the new market on Burbank Blvd. and Fulton, north side of the street, where Kinko's used to be. I believe it is called Food Bazaar Market; their permanent sign is not up yet.

They have a bakery, a deli and a butcher, plus a nice produce department.

Cheeses from Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Middle East, along with specialty items from Ukraine, Russia, etc.

Persian ice cream is available, sour cherry perserves, an interesting assortment of imported chocolates and Turkish Delight.

In the dairy section you will find many different kinds of sour cream and yoghurt. I suggest trying the Russian "Village style" sour cream - it's more like creme freche.

They also have sausages from Germany and Russia in the deli section, and more types in the case across from the butchers, but no Ukrainian style Kielbasa - yet. You will also find cold and hot smoked fish here.

Service is very helpful and friendly. I've only been there twice so far, and one deli helper remembered me from the week before.

There is also a nice assortment of fresh flat breads, and many interesting Middle Eastern bakery items besides the ubiquitous baklava.
