MIX @ The Hotel disappointment

I made reservations for this past Monday night. We arrived at 6:30pm and we were seated at an OK table. The place was empty at the time. After a glass of champagne, we ordered. I had a petit filet special. It was topped with a large piece of foi gras and sliced black truffel. It sounds good but when it arrived the sauce had already formed a skin. The steak was not a tender as $60+ entree should be. The side were forgetable, so forgetable that I can't remember what they were. I had a Sashimi appetizer that was as bland as it could be. (I eat sushi twice a week and I know good stuff.) I had been looking forward to eating here for 2 years. Maybe my anticipation got the best of me. I felt the service was at the best VERY INTRUSIVE. The server stood staring at us often minutes at a time. i kind of got the idea that if my wife had dressed like a $1200 call girl we would have been seated at a better table.

It was the most dissapointing meal that I have ever had in Vegas. At least we were able to finish and go sit in the bar area overlooking the Luxor light. I still think it is one of the best views in Vegas.

Am I being to harsh? I should have complained but I really feel that it would not have done any good.
