Went here for the first time for brunch, intent on having the oatmeal pancakes, which I love to make myself.
What I was served was too greasy, seemingly fried in a lot of margarine. It actually looked like a big sausage patty. There was some sliced fruit on the side, and home fried potatoes, which were a bit redundant. The maple syrup was already poured on the pancake, I would have liked to have done it myself and would have asked for it on the side, had I known.
My companion had the special of the day, poached eggs with spicy sausage tomato sauce on toasted Italian bread, with fruit and potatoes.
The coffee was good and strong, but the service was lacking in such a busy cafe.
A woman next to me had the bowl of granola with yogurt and fruit, which looked so fresh and yummy. I'll return and get that next time I'm in that neighborhood.
I like this place, but will order differently next time. Does anyone had recs/experience here?
