Been browsing this board for a long time and thought i'd kick in a contribution. I've been visiting this Sushi place in korea town since about dec. of last yr. The prices have always been reasonable but when i visited them 2 weeks ago i ordered the Sashimi Don ($8) and was blown away by the amount of food that came to my table. It was basically a big wide stone bowl filled with rice and a lot of sashimi! Comparatively when i took all the sashimi out (they take their whole slices and sorta cube it), i had a big plate of tuna, butter fish, salmon, shrimp, tamago, tobiko, crab and octupus. I found it a bit odd that they throw in iceberg lettuce in the bowl but they like to accompany it with some of their hot sauce (which isn't too hot and has a slight sweet/sour tang to it). It is the best deal i've had in the city in a long time and it's nice to visit a small place unlike those other Sushi places on bloor/queen which gives u massive quantities of rice. Actually come to think of it I think their prices are slightly lower than what you'd expect from other places.
Service has always been great (as with most places in korea town), they've always given everyone at my table salad and soup regardless of if they ate. The place looks a bit cold....too much white walls and dark colours. But apart from that their clientele is mostly korean
They're located at 699 Bloor St. W. about 1 block? east of Christie on the south side. I think it's next to the bar on the corner and number is 416-533-2888.
Oh yeah...sometimes they'll give u a little bowl of edamame for you to nibble on while your food is being prepared.
