My friend and I found Mistrals in Manchester,VT on a whim while staying over in Manchester this past friday night. We were driving up this lonely road just outside of town about to turn around and head back to town when we saw this lonely light by the side of the road. We took a drive in and had a terrific meal. They started us out with an olive tapenade and small pieces ot toasted bread. I normally don't like olives but woofed it right down! We split the crab cakes appeitzer and for eating crab cakes for the 1st time I enjoyed them. I am getting adventurous in my old age! Next he had the veal tenderloin wrapped with a smoky bacon and I had the filet mignon. Both were fork tender. His was served with mashed and I had boiled potatoes with veggies on the side. There was some kind of mushroom sauce over the top of each piece of meat. We shared the creme caramel for dessert to finish off a wonderful meal in the woods.
