I was supposed to organize a bachelor party in Atlantic City for my best friend this weekend. However, plans fell thru and we (group of 7 guys) are staying in NYC on Saturday night.
I've got all the other "activities" planned, but the big question remains: where to go for dinner after a few (hell...many) drinks? yes, i like my great NYC restaurants, but i don't think Wallse will fit the bill for this occasion.
I initially thought Churascaria Plataforma (49th Street) would be ideal. I've been there a few times, and I think it's a perfect fit...decent meats, the big salad bar, pretty loud and not too formal. But i know with drinking, it can get up there in price, and we'll probably wind up wanting to drop the majority of our money later in the night on "bad" things.
Was also thinking about Sammy's Roumanian. Never been, but people have mentioned that it's nice and rowdy. I mean, iced bottles of vodka on the tables fits the bill nicely. But not sure about the food. Are the steaks above average?
I'd love any and all suggestions for fairly loud, UNPRETENTIOUS places that are reasonably priced...think steak. Not looking for any "hot" or "scene" type places. Just someplace that 7 friends can eat great food, drink lots, and be merry before leaving to drink more and make merrier (is that even a word?)
thanks in advance for recs.
