Minori Sushi - quick report

jaydee | Nov 3, 2004 09:52 AM

Went for the first time to this sushi bar on the corner of Pico and Robertson (next to the Starbucks)...

Blue Crab Handroll - not enough crab, rice was kind of bland - overloaded with julienned cucumber. Nozawa's version it is not.

Albacore - decent. instead of the normal green onions - it was topped with sliced onions - a different approach.

Hamachi - pretty good given I didn't have high expectations. I love the hamachi at nozawa and sushi ryo, and the cuts I had at Minori were decent. Buttery.

GF had the shrimp tempura roll - had a bite - nothing spectacular.

Agadeshi Tofu - large serving - but overloaded with bonito flakes and garlic (?).

Prices are pretty decent, but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place.
