Restaurants & Bars

middle eastern of sorts -- odd place, good food.

international grill in glendale galleria

i don't usually recommend food in malls but it's just a great little restaurant if you don't mind the ambient noise from the mall. seems to serve the large armenian population and is quite popular. my armenian co-worker visits regularly with his family which is how i heard of it.

stuff i had:
bulgarian chicken
beef koubbideh
ikra (spicy eggplant/tomato dip)

only complaint i have is that the chicken seemed on the salty side. i'd go back to try the various bargs and different side dishes. i haven't been to elena's for a while so don't have any relevant comparisons to their lulu kebab (i do think the sides at international grill are better than at elena's). i do remember elena's dolmas though --- those were hard to forget.
