Middle Eastern food in Chicago

Alan Leung | Oct 19, 200307:21 AM     10

Does anyone have suggestions on good Middle Eastern/Arab restaurants in Chicago? I'm partial to Lebanese food, but I like any Middle Eastern food in general. I'm a student at the University of Chicago, and there aren't many picks down on the South Side to my knowledge. In Hyde Park there's only Cedars of Lebanon, which serves decent food, and Nile, which is rather mediocre, especially the hummus. It's also reflective about the choice we students at the UofC get outside of the terrible dining system--we definitely don't have enough choices of any kind of food (except the 4 Subways, on 53rd, 55th, 57th, and one in the campus food court). I've heard that places around Devon and Albany Park may have some good restaurants to offer, but I don't know of any particular restaurants.
