I've seen some episodes recently of Rick Bayless' show "Mexico: One Plate at a Time" from Baja, which looks like a wonderful place to live, BTW. He visits several of the wineries in the region and recommends their fine wines, such as those produced at Adobe Guadalupe.
I was in Total Wines the other day and asked if they had any Mexican Baja wines and the employee said they did about three years ago but suddenly stopped carrying them. I tried to find out a reason, which was not forthcoming but appeared to be somewhat troubling based on his expression, and asked if they would carry them in the future and he said absolutely not.
Anyone know what the story is here?
