Went to this Mexican place in Venice, or maybe it was in Santa Monica, just off Venice Blvd, west of Sepulveda (Apologies, I wasn't driving and I'm new to the area).
Anyway, they had a wheatberry dish on the menu, which seemed odd to me. When I ordered it, the waitress said it wasn't "typically" Mexican but said you might find it in some places. In any case, it was very good -- lots of beans along with the wheatberries, in a chili-like sauce, with plenty of cheddar.
Does anyone know what the name of this dish is? Or how to make it?
